Bienvenido a Miami, Delpozo. In first-in-market news, the Spanish label will be opening its first U.S. store in the — you guessed it — Design District. Slated to open in November, Delpozo’s boutique will boast 2,500 square feet and will call 35 N.E. 40th Street home. Following the opening of its first flagship store in Madrid this past March, the imminent Design District store marks the label’s international expansion.

In keeping with Delpozo Creative Director Josep Font’s vision, Font himself is personally involved with the store’s design and genesis. For those unfamiliar with the Madrid-based brand, the line is touted for its feminine yet modern sensibility. Think architectural shapes and interesting volumes replete with embellished details.

“We are very pleased because for Delpozo, commercial development goes hand in hand with creative development. In less than a year, the house has achieved all its international goals included in our commercial strategy. Thanks to the support we have received from the first class department and concept stores, we are introducing the brand in key territories. Our aim now is to consolidate our presence through these points of sale,” says Delpozo Managing Director Ainhoa Garcia.

After showing at New York Fashion Week in February with plans to return in September, the company has been picked up by about 20 retailers, including Opening Ceremony in New York, London and Los Angeles; Tender in Birmingham, Mich.; Capitol in Charlotte; DNA in Doha, Qatar, and Ryadh, Saudi Arabia, as well as Net-a-porter.com.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Delpozo.
