Like a magnet, it appears. Art Basel Miami Beach draws A-list personalities and pop ups like no other event in Miami. With celebrities such as Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Boy George, Cindy Crawford, Gerard Butler, Tegan and Sara, Marc Anthony and Princess Eugenie anticipated to come this year, there’s a giddy mood amongst us locals. One may even bump into Lady Gaga as she’s rumored to make a splash, too.

But let’s not forget the art, shall we?

In terms of pop ups in the Design District, we are unequivocally stoked for the inaugural “Idolize Pop Up Show.” For those unfamiliar with Idolize, think of the new concept publication as a socially conscious platform with the intent to propel the next generation’s cultural, emotional and visual experience of fashion, design, art, music and entertainment realms. The platform delivers actively engaging material through a bi-annual printed art book, daily online content and touring events.

The exhibition opens Wednesday, December 4th and runs through Sunday, December 8th and boasts the works of five international young artists — Cope/Arnold, Romulo Sans, Alberto Maria Colombo, Sean Augustine March and Jake Lamagno/Ben Duggan. A handful of the pieces are unequivocally tongue-and-cheek — which we find just as fascinating as the imminent celebrity wattage coming our way.

The exhibition will be presented at the Idolize pop-up space located in the Miami Design District at 3800 NE 2nd Avenue, in the 2nd Floor of the BOFFI Design Studios.
