With Memorial Day marking the unofficial start of summer, the season of picnics and barbecues is upon us. To celebrate, this June through August the Miami Design District and Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink are partnering on a three-event summer series that celebrates the season by reimagining a few of our favorite classic outdoor pastimes for a truly ‘Genuine’ experience.

"I love cooking outside and am super excited to break out the grills in Palm Court," said Michael Schwartz, owner and executive chef of Michael's Genuine. "Grilling is one of my favorite ways to cook and add deep layers of flavor to fresh ingredients.  We're approaching the menu and how the food's coming out a little differently for each event, so there will be plenty of new things to try and ways to enjoy summer outside in the District."

Mark your calendars, because you won’t want to miss these tasty events.

The film will be accompanied by an al fresco picnic, featuring Mediterranean inspired bites.

Three food stations will serve House-made Pita Bread with hummus, marinated vegetables, Israeli salad and tabbouleh; Kefte Sandwiches with yogurt sauce and cilantro on a potato bun; and Chicken & Grilled Vegetable Kebabs with parsley sauce and pickled onions.

During the movie, enjoy a snack of Israeli-Spiced Popcorn for an elevated take on your favorite sweet and salty theater cravings. Sip libations including a signature Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink bottled cocktail, rosé, and beer.
