Enjoy performances by Miami’s most talented actors, musicians, and artists as they turn the Design District into a roving theatrical event.

dei 7 free range music features a mixing of genres and blend of the experimental and traditional which is at the core of producer, songwriter and vocalist, Derin Young's unique character and sound. Derin has been a leader of her own ensembles as well as having worked as a vocalist in the U.S. and abroad with numerous musicians including, Lenny Kravitz with Vanessa Paradis; rock band, Living Colour and French rapper, MC Solaar; among others.  Derin stays connected with her world of musical expression and freedom -- producing performance content with guest musicians for dei 7 free range music projects.  For this performance, she is joined by Ivo Carvalho on guitar, Phoenix Rivera on drums and Daniel Stable on bass.  Visit www.dei7.com.


Tantra-Zawadi

Tantra-zawadi, the author of three books of poetry and an international performance poet, has presented to standing room audiences around the world. She has performed original works off-Broadway and featured at The Badilisha Poetry X-Change Festival, Lincoln Center, The American Museum of Natural History, The Montserrat Poetry Festival, The Daniel Sorano National Theatre and The Austin International Poetry Festival.  Tantra is a 2010 Pushcart Prize nominee for her poem “Girl,” a recipient of the Kings County District Attorney’s Women’s History Month Award, and in 2014, received the honor of Pan African Princess.  As a mentor for the Girl-Child Network Worldwide, she is donating a portion of the proceeds from her books to GCN.  Tantra performs regularly with The Senegal-America Project, appears on several global music compilations and publications including Essence Magazine.  She is the director of two short documentaries, and her poem and video “Scarlet Waters,” was featured on the Product(RED) video wall to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS in Africa.  Follow Tantra-zawadi on-line at www.tantra-zawadi.com.

PROST (PROSTITUTION) Blending the rhythms of Chicago and Detroit house music with soulful melodies of the 80s and 90s, PROST is the sound of next-wave fashion and art. Produced by the prestigious Jean-Marc Virard (JMV) founder of Le Branché Records, PROST effortlessly infuses hints of New Wave, Soul, House and Techno with an elegant rawness and hypnotic performance.


Siempre Flamenco

Siempre Flamenco is a not-for-profit company formed in 2002 by Paco and Celia Fonta.  Siempre Flamenco is dedicated to preserving the tradition and pure art of flamenco in fresh and engaging performance.  Paco Fonta is internationally recognized as a foremost flamenco guitarist, singer, and composer. He has been praised as an accomplished singer of Cante Jondo, the most authentic, profound, and difficult of the flamenco styles. Mr. Fonta works with several flamenco dance companies in the U.S. and abroad -- most notably with Ballet Flamenco la Rosa based in Miami, Bailes Ferrer in Ft. Lauderdale, The Ensemble Espanol from Chicago, and Carmen Garza Flamenco Ballet in Venezuela. As Artistic Director of Siempre Flamenco, Celia Fonta has produced and Choreographed the Festival of Flamenco Song for the past six years, as well as numerous shows, including Mojito Andaluz, a fusion of flamenco and Afro-Cuban music and dance, Oy-Le a collaboration of Flamenco and Klezmer, Al Andalus, a program exploring the Jewish, Moorish, and Gypsy roots of Flamenco, as well as Beats and Compas, a hip-hop and flamenco experimental dance concert.
