Join Rafael de Cárdenas / Architecture at Large in celebrating and embracing Miami’s culture of pleasure and indulgence at NEON JUNGLE in the Miami Design District during Maison & Objet Americas second edition.
Located only a block from the Miami Design District’s storied Moore Building, where M&O Americas is honoring Rafael de Cárdenas as designer of the year, Rafael de Cárdenas / Architecture at Large partners with the Miami Design District and favorite local popsicle company, PopLab, in bringing an immersive tropical lounge open from Tuesday May 10th through Sunday May 15th.
A nod to the M&O Americas 2016 theme, WILD, the RDC/AAL x MDD x POPLAB NEON JUNGLE, popsicle pop-up provides a refreshing and central location for respite during a venture out into the Miami Design District.
Escape into the prismatic oasis: lounge on a pixelated landscape of RDC/AAL custom-designed modular furniture or dance in the dappled shadow of neon lights and jungle foliage. Every weekday evening a different flavored popsicle, including bespoke RDC/AAL flavors, is premiered and celebrated. Miami-born-and-based designer Emmett Moore brings a curated DJ roster and other surprise programming. A respective musical soundtrack will be spun nightly, emanating from a mirrored perch deep within the NEON JUNGLE.
The NEON JUNGLE’s daily happy hour from 6pm to 8pm will offer complimentary popsicles and be visited by Maison & Objet’s many global guests, Miami Design District visitors and a sample of Miami’s own exciting local denizens. Rafael de Cárdenas will join the festivities following the Maison & Objet Americas Designer of the Year awards ceremony held at the nearby Moore Building on Tuesday, May 10th.
