The Italian food served at MC Kitchen the Design District's new restaurant, does two things simultaneously: it adds a modern, thoughtful twist to traditional dishes and serves a comforting, familiar meal. The space is beautiful and with its gold hued glow, fits in perfectly with its upscale neighbors. Dena Marino is the M in MC and the genius behind this modern Italian cuisine. Her husband Marcus leads their bar program. On tap, plenty of Dogfish Head and coming soon a bevy of carefully curated cocktails. Must not miss: Whipped Roasted Squashed Filled Burrata, Artichoke Heart Bruschetta, Oven Roasted Langostines. Whether enjoying a romantic dinner for dos or a group gathering, we loved MC Kitchen. And we're happy to welcome another stellar chef to the Design District.

Deeply rooted in American style cuisine David Bracha's new restaurant, Oak Tavern is offering a new take on simple dining.

Craving a weekend filled with mimosas and piles of good food but not sure where to go? Head to the Design District to scope out the neighborhood's latest offerings.

We can never seem to get our fill of good food. Fortunately, for us, South Street has just opened on the corner of 40th Street and NE 2nd Avenue. Amaris Jones and Amir Ben-Zion have teamed up to create a destination focused on comfort with a menu full of Southern favorites like lobster mac and cheese, grilled green tomatoes, bourbon bbq wings, southern fried corn, and black eye peas. Wash it all down with a bevy of crafty cocktails as you sway to the fun mix of tunes coming from their phenomenal sound system. Comfort food + delicious libations + ear candy = Go now!
