Miami Spice is every South Florida foodie’s favorite time of year. The annual two-month long restaurant event, hosted by the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, allows guests to wine and dine on three-course menus at some of the city’s best restaurants at a steep discount.

This year there are close to 200 restaurants participating, with some of the most buzzed about menus and dishes from Miami Spice found right here in the Design District.

At MC Kitchen, Executive Chef Dena Marino is serving up her popular Saffron Arancini with creamy mozzarella and balsamic reduction and Funghi Pizza with wild mushrooms, roasted garlic and blue cheese fonduta for lunch-time diners. At dinner, guests can enjoy stand out dishes such as Italian Sausage Stuffed Jumbo Quail with orzo pasta primavera salad and white balsamic vinaigrette and Passion Fruit Panna Cotta with whipped crema and pulled sugar.

The Cypress Room is offering up one of the most talked about burgers in town on both its lunch and dinner Miami Spice menus: the decadent Cypress Burger. They are also serving Daube of Beef and Grilled Pork Belly and a Bittersweet Chocolate Pot de Crème prepared by James Beard nominated pastry chef Hedy Goldsmith.

Over at the Oak Tavern Fine Food & Spirits, lunch goers can indulge in a hearty Porchetta Sandwich with peach chutney and caramelized Vidalia onions. For dinner, enjoy Octopus a la Plancha with smoked potato salad and Gnocchi and Beef Cheek Ragout with wild mushrooms, shallot confit and poached eggs.

Hungry yet? We thought so. These tasty three-course menus are available now through September 30 for $23 for lunch and $39 for dinner. Bon appétit!
