A new networking group launches in the area.

They came, they saw, they mingled. A new networking group, dubbed Miami Fashion Network, recently launched in the Design District. The event, hosted by Jessica Rae Anderson, Beau Beasley, Brandon Fogel, Stacey Galbut and Ani Sierra, was a way for everyone from designers to the fashion obsessed to mix and mingle in their own network. Specifically described as a free database of fashion industry local suppliers, as well as a fashion-member community (think invites to private trunk shows, editor talks, fashion shows and private launches) and an interactive platform for designers to connect with editors, buyers and showrooms, the group proved to be a success for those in the business with its launch. On November 7 at Arevalo & Sponder Galleries, the attendees were treated to tunes by DJs Ess & Emm drinks and bites, as well as a look at local designs from the likes of Jac Henri wallets, amongst the art. It’s fitting the event blossomed in the heart of Miami’s most fashionable area. With designers mixing with editors, fashionistas, shop owners and more, spreading the word and enhancing Miami’s fashion offerings proved to be a productive and fashion-forward activity.
