Sometimes the grass is always greener. At least it will be this fall when kelly, khaki, camo, olive and emerald shades of green elicit fashion envy. Whether you opt for bright shocking shades or deeper gemstone hues, going green for fall is the way to go.
From Pucci’s deep emerald velvet suit to Delpozo’s chartreuse skirt, designers are embracing the nature inspired shade into their fall 2014 collections and so can you. To keep it monotone without running the risk of looking like Gumby, break up the hue with a fun pop of color by incorporating accents pieces in yellow, pink, purple or acqua. Don’t believe these color combos complement each other? Take a look at Christian Louboutin’s Artiface Strass heel. The vibrant combo of color can be your painter’s pallet. Marni broke up the green on the runway by pairing bright green pants with a camel coat as well as a bright green top with a black pants and a pop of white for shoes.
If green just isn’t your thing, try adding a splash of into your accessories. Prada mixes it up with a camouflage print backpack or choose classic leather tote in Kelly green. A Hermès day planner also in kelly green will be easy to spot inside your bag and look equally stylish when sitting on a desk. Or create a green army party with a Hermès bangle, Céline bauble bracelet and Rolex’s Day-Date with green leather strap and face.
