The last thing Mom needs to be doing this Mothers’ Day is cooking. This year treat her to a delicious meal at one of the Design District’s top dining spots.

Oak Tavern brunch

At Oak Tavern you can indulge mom with brunch and unlimited Mimosas and Bloody Marys for just $20 a person. Those drinks pair perfectly with their exquisite Blueberry Pancakes with vanilla-orange butter and maple whipped cream, Duck Hash with fried duck eggs, beet relish, goat cheese and jalapeño cornbread or maybe even their Crab Omelet with shitakes, chives and fried potatoes. If you miss brunch, then take mom to the newly-launched Sunday Supper offered from 5 to 9:30 p.m. on Mother’s Day. The menu is only $18 a person and features Sicilian meatballs, antipasto salad, homemade pasta and wood-fired garlic bread.

Harry's Pizzeria

Two of Michael Schwartz’s restaurants — Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink and Harry’s Pizzeria — are known for their brunch and Mothers’ Day is no exception. Treat her to dishes like breakfast pizza and peach and stracciatella salad at Harry’s Pizzeria or the Kimchi Benedict on a toasted crumpet, crispy pork belly, and kimchi hollandaise and house-made pop tarts at Michael’s. Plus, every mom is greeted to a complimentary glass of champagne on her special day at Michael’s Genuine.

If mom is looking for a healthy meal take her over to Lemoni Pizza and Kitchen, which serves up a variety of gluten-free and vegan dishes filled with seasonal vegetables, raw dishes, raw desserts, pizzas made with vegan cheeses and pasta with cashew-based cream sauce, among other healthy items that even the pickiest of moms will enjoy.

At The District is offering Mom a special treat with a free glass to wash down her Mother’s Day brunch. With items like Guava French Toast, Huevos Rancheros, Pineapple Pancakes and make-your-own Eggs Benedict we are sure you can’t go wrong.

And who doesn’t love Italian food? Proud mother and owner of MC Kitchen, Dena Marino, is serving up brunch all day. Expect dishes like French Toast made with pan-seared brioche, seasonal fruit, dogfish black & blue syrup and Pulled Short Rib and Egg Panino filled with chili aioli, caramelized onion and arugula.

With all these delicious options, there’s no denying the Design District is the place to take your mom this Mother’s Day.
