Shoes That Are On Point
Ballerinas are known for their lithe, long, and lean bodies that gracefully and effortlessly — or at least they make it look effortless — pitter across the dance floor. Years and years of hard work and dedication go into perfecting the art of dancing on point, but luckily for you all you have to do this Spring is slip into a pair of ballet flats that will make you look like you’re ready to star in Swan Lake.
Taking inspiration straight from the stage, Miu Miu’s leather ballerina flats, available in blush or black, feature calf leather straps and metal hardware to add a little punk to a traditionally innocent look. The straps and ribbons at the ankle can be adjusted to your fancy. Miu Miu, 190 NE 39th Street, (305) 341-9342
Prada presents a suede ballerina for the season that is a bit less traditional, yet still stage-inspired. The black slip on with white and gold accents has a pink ankle strap that are easy to get in and out of thanks to the Velcro tab closure. The final accent to these flats is the ping-pong ball on the toecap. Prada, 180 NE 40th Street, (305) 438-2280
Straight from the runway, Dior‘s ballet inspired sling-backs combine a prominent pointed toe that juxtaposes the romantic ribbons that gracefully tie around the ankle. Dior, opening soon in the Miami Design District.
Perhaps after leotards and tutus, blush and pink come to mind when thinking of the elegant dancers and Christian Louboutin beautifully captures the hue in the Mrs. Early Flat. The T-strap nude patent and fishnet flat with pointed toe will have you dancing in the streets. Christian Louboutin, 161 NE 40th Street, Suite 104
