The dog days of summer sixteen are in full-swing so we turned to three of Miami’s most stylish women to share their summer essentials that keep them looking cool when it is anything but outside.
Maria Tettamanti, The Wordy Girl
Miami-based journalist, fashion and travel blogger The Wordy Girl is also one of the most stylish moms we know. Always keeping it real, Maria tells us, “It’s Mojave desert hot outside! So my uniform right now is pair of denim cut-off shorts, a comfy 100-percent cotton tee and a pair of Valentino Rock Stud flats to elevate the look.” And Maria shares she doesn't leave home without a pair of “sunnies,” one of her favorites being Celine.
A perennial sun-lover, Tettamanti keeps her style smart and her skin safe thanks to a well-structured Panama hat and a light-weight, coconut oil-based moisturizer with a pearlescent glow. Find a similar sun-blocking chapeau at Pucci, and to keep skin glowing like The Wordy Girl’s, stop into the Emena Spa and pick up EcoTan’s Coconut Body Milk Nourishing Moisturizer.
Katy Stoka, Creator One-Two Lash
Real estate superstar turned creator of One-Two Lash – the first glue-free, magnetic lash extensions – Katy Stoka’s style is always on point. When Katy is running from charity event to press meeting to carpool, this mom of two is usually doing so in a pair of Christian Louboutin espadrilles. “A few are sky high and perfect for those long dresses where you can channel a runway model - and some are flat yet amazingly still make your elongate your legs giving them a shape they have really never been.”
After hours spent shopping around the neighborhood, food is certainly an essential and the lash lady loves nothing more than lunch at MC Kitchen “The fresh crudités and perfect crisp white wine take you away to - or rather make you see that you are dining in - a true luxury vacation paradise.”
Natalie Gee, Co-Founder of Gee Beauty
When you check out Natalie Gee’s Instagram page @natgeebeauty, you’ll see why we turned to her for her top picks. The flawless shots of her effortless chic looks are ones you’ll want to emulate. Luckily you can since one of her recent purchases was a Hermès black leather cuff. “It’s so classic and chic, I know I will wear it for years and is the perfect addition to all-black, minimal look which also includes my favorite Fendi clutch.”
And as owner of one of Miami’s go-to brow and skincare studios, it is no surprise that one of her summer essentials (though, year ‘round, really) are gorgeous, groomed brows. “Brows are definitely my beauty essential this summer ‘16. If my brows are full, filled-in and defined - I'm ready for anything!” says Natalie.
