For the “new” Christian Louboutin boutique, it’s good to be home. After a sojourn at a temporary space in the Miami Design District, the Christian Louboutin Miami Flagship boutique has opened its doors at 155 NE 40th Street.

As the first store in South Florida to boast men’s and women’s accessories alongside Christian Louboutin Beauté — all in one location — the new and improved space seamlessly marries the ultra-chic Parisian vibes of the brand with a breezy Miami sensibility. The outdoor façade is inspired by the lush tropics and bright Miami sunlight while the inside emphasizes Louboutin’s travels and the brand’s Parisian heritage.

"The excitement of this project brought me back to my roots, thinking of this wonderful building in Paris where I first ever saw a sketch of a shoe," said Louboutin. "I wanted to reproduce the ceiling of the 1920's Parisian museum, which will bring this extra light of Miami inside the stones."

Inside, the interior is inspired by the Palais de la Porte Dorée in Paris, featuring soaring ceilings, a mezzanine balcony and light deflecting, brise-soleil windows. Natural elements like white and gold birch walls and bold red accents reminiscent of the brand’s iconic crimson soles play against the reclaimed colonnade of a 1970s Parisian building façade, repurposed on the upper level as a dramatic statement piece. The peeled Bark House Poplar tree panels that line the walls are all harvested by hand using renewable solar powered energy.

Personal touches like agate table tops, Florida Keystone, coral stone and white travertine accent the store and three art pieces by Key West artist Anne Schroeder are displayed on the mezzanine level.

Whether your passion is fabulous footwear or environmentally conscious design, the new and improved Louboutin boutique checks off both boxes.
