Calling all foodies! A new food truck event is coming to town starting Thursday, September 28th, and you can find it #atMDD. Taking place on the last Thursday of every month in the Design District’s Jungle Plaza, Food Trucks #atMDD is the perfect excuse to grab a laidback lunch or dinner, mingle with friends, or just enjoy an art-filled day outdoors in one of the Magic City’s neighborhood gems.

Sitting between NE 2nd Avenue and NE 1st Avenue, at the south side of the NW building facing NE 38th Street, Jungle Plaze is an outdoor, mixed-use space created with the Miami community in mind. Upon conception, Craig Robins—the visionary behind the Miami Design District—saw it as a place for the public to come together and have fun in all forms, whether it’s at a concert, movie night, car show, or a farmer’s market, like The Market #atMDD! Head to the heart of the plaza, and you’ll find the mural for which it is named: Jungle, by a multidisciplinary studio named 2 x 4. Painted on the entire north wall, this mural is a metaphor for Miami’s lush plants, exotic animals, and in a weird way, its diverse urban landscape. In the same vein, Jungle Plaza is home to two intertwined, large-scale installations by SHoP Architects, Flotsam & Jetsam, that sat at the entrance to Design Miami during Miami Art Week 2016.

And this week, hungry shoppers can get excited for new way to experience Jungle Plaza—with a monthly food truck event. While the roster of participating trucks will rotate every month, the event’s first installation will feature some of Miami’s best: Ms. Cheezious, King of Racks, Che Grill, Taco Fresh, Monster Burgers and Zombie Ice. (Hungry yet?)

There are two entrances to Jungle Plaza, one at 3801 NE 1st Avenue and another at 140 NE 39th Street. This event will take place on the last Thursday of every month, from noon to 9 p.m.
