Step Into Fall With These Hot New Shoe Trends
The easiest way to transition your seasonal wardrobe? Swap out your sandals and summer shoes for the latest fall trends. The right pair of boots can easily take your favorite summer dress into the autumn or breathe life into your go-to jeans and tee. Rich textures, fashion forward shapes and funky colors… this year’s most popular styles are anything but basic. We’re rounding up a few of our favorite fall trends and highlighting the hottest shoes of the season.
Blue Velvet Booties
Velvet is having a moment and we are 100 percent on board. Last fall’s stand out style, the sock bootie, is back this season with a chunkier heel and cool blue makeover. Miu Miu’s take on the trend comes in a luxe midnight blue and is surprisingly comfortable. The style is a little bit 90s grunge, a little bit Elvis.
80s White Ankle Boot
Paging Sloane Peterson! The cool girls of 2017 are channeling Ferris Bueller’s lady love in kicky white ankle boots that feel surprisingly fresh and fashion forward. We’re lusting over the Celine Unhidden Bootie in Kidskin. Hand-stitched with a silver rounded buckle and tone on tone piping, you can roll them down for a slouchier feel or keep them straight up for a more structured vibe.
Sky High Boots
When we’re on the prowl for a sexy shoe with a sky-high heel, we always look first to Christian Louboutin. For fall, we’re in the market for a thigh high boot that’s heavy on the drama and the Louise XI delivers in spades. Made of stretch suede, the slender platform balances out the 120mm pitch for a slightly more comfortable fit. This classic Louboutin style has been around since 2013 and is just as chic now as it was when it first hit the market.
Luxe Combat Boots
Combat boots go glam for fall with luxe fabrics and high-end details. We’re loving Louis Vuitton’s Laureate Platform Desert Boot. With touches of metallic gold calf leather and classic Monogram canvas accents, this high fashion take on a tough-girl staple feels of-the-moment and funky.
While a sandal for fall may seem out of place, deep tones and lush fabrics push these statement makers into the cooler months. We’re adding the Saint Laurent Farrah Bow Sandal to our fall wish list, stat. The pretty crisscross bow and stacked heel exude powerful femininity and will pair perfectly with boho chic midi dresses and floor grazing flares.
Glitter Ankle Boot
We’re sold on all that sparkles and the Isabel Marant Luliana Glitter Ankle Boot is the glam statement shoe we never knew we needed. The boxy ankle fit and avant-garde cone heel keep this glitzy style from reading tacky. Pair with super skinny jeans or flowy mini dresses for a little edge.
