A taste of Italian theater comes to Miami with the opening of the new Dolce & Gabbana boutique in the Miami Design District. A step inside the famed fashion house’s latest boutique transports visitors to the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, one of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s favorite places. The drama, beauty and elegance of La Scala is evident in every design detail of the store — from the glass and stone facade to the gleaming hardware that adorns the walls.

The store's design merges the old world with the new, via Baroque mirrors, counters, and walnut furniture embellished with touches of gold, steel and velvet for a modern edge. The space even feels like a real stage — the all-glass facade and tricks of the light make shoppers feel instantly as if they’re centerstage. Spotlights in the ceiling illuminate classical sculpture busts and statues, displayed on stone slabs.

The clothing and accessories bring the space to life, much like the gorgeous and luxurious set pieces of La Scala. Browsing the store is a decadent experience, much like wandering a beautiful museum in Italy. Truly, the way the clothing is displayed highlights the garments more as art pieces than as clothing.

Be sure to snap a selfie at the ultimate selfie mirror — a gorgeous gold Baroque floor mirror that dominates the wall next to the grand staircase on the first floor. Gold crown optional, but recommended.

Dolce & Gabbana is now open in the Miami Design District at 148 NE 41st Street, Suite 108.
