Applications are being accepted for high school students to participate in this summer’s collaborative experience at the LAB, as a Locust Art Builder. Students will work together with and under the guidance of contemporary artist, Monica Lopez de Victoria of the TM Sisters collaborative. The experience will culminate with a public exhibition.

“Our educational programs, especially Locust Art Builders (LAB), link a new generation of artists with contemporary art practices, and our public art commissions program inserts new artworks in surprising locations across the county, providing an approachable contemporary art venue for the community,” said Ms. Chana Sheldon, executive director of Locust Projects, which is celebrating its 15th year as a leading experimental exhibition space.

Deadline is April 20, 2013 – applications must be received by 5pm.

More information, including application instructions, can be found at the Locust Project website.
