Calling all jetsetters: your luggage is about to get a major, high-fashion upgrade. Earlier this year in Paris as part of the Spring/Summer 2020 collections, two of our favorite MDD brands, RIMOWA and Dior, debuted a joint capsule collection that takes the art of travel to new heights. The collection of aluminum travel cases emblazoned with the Dior Oblique motif is a must-have travel accessory.

The collection features some of RIMOWA’s best selling styles: the Cabin, Trunk and Handcase sizes, along with the Personal Case and the uber decadent Champagne Case… meant for picnicking. Snag the styles in silver, matte black or blue.

Dior men's designer Kim Jones based the design on his own experiences with travel and his passion for minimalist travel. (Jones told British Vogue that he loves to travel but hates airports, so he prefers to pack less and only take carry-on luggage.) The collection is a true collaboration, the outside was manufactured at RIMOWA’S German factory with the inside designed and created by Dior’s handbag designers… since RIMOWA bag interiors are not typically lined with leather as Jones envisioned for the collection.

Dior is considering adding luggage as a permanent, marking the brand’s first foray into the luggage category.  As for us, we’ll be busy planning our next trip… we have a statement-making bag to show off!

Now through the end of the month, stop by the Dior x Rimowa Pop-Up, located right in Paradise Plaza.
