It’s that time again! South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One (SOBEWFF®) is coming back to the Miami Design District. While you can find some of the neighborhood's esteemed restaurants participating in public and private events all over the Magic City, we are hosting two mouth-watering events right here in Jungle Plaza. On Friday, February 21st, don’t miss this one-of-a-kind pizza party from James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Schwartz. Taking over Jungle Plaza, this late-night event will let foodies and neighbors alike nosh on top pies from pizza makers across the country, under Miami’s sparkling night sky. Picky about your pizza? We’re sure you’ll find something you love, whether it’s wood-fired, oven-baked, thin-crust pizzas or something else.
Running from 10 p.m. to Midnight, this event will have all-you-can-eat-and-drink pizza, beer, wine and cocktails, and live music from The Hails. Added bonus? Every ticket holder will leave with a signed copy of Schwartz’s new cookbook, Genuine Pizza: Better Pizza at Home.
"Nothing brings people together like pizza. It's everyone's favorite food!" said Schwartz. “We're throwing a big party during the biggest food festival of the year, and we’re bringing in a bunch of amazing chefs and pizza makers to celebrate it. Expect unlimited slices, textures, toppings, crusts, and most of all, creativity. It's going to be fun to see what everyone comes up with, and of course, what the favorites are! Guests are in for a treat.”

Croquetas & Cocktails

Come back the following night, same place, same time, to celebrate everyone’s favorite Cuban snack: croquetas! Led by Miami croqueta royalty, Eileen and Jonathan Andrade (the brother-sister duo behind Finka Table & Tap), this evening is bringing together the best croquetas in the city with libations from the revered DRINK Miami team. The croquetas themselves will be handpicked by Miami’s own food authority, “Burger Beast” Sef Gonzalez, and will come from a mix of fine dining restaurants, gas station lunch counters, grocery stores, local bakeries and more.
Running from 10 p.m. to Midnight on Saturday, February 22nd, this all-you-can-eat-and-drink soirée under the stars will be a night in the Magic City foodies won’t forget.
“It’s not just about inviting the best, but also having restaurants that will rise to the occasion,” says Gonzalez. “This is the part where knowing the folks behind the food becomes important. I received a ‘yes’ across the board from everyone I invited (on the first try!), and that enthusiasm transfers to the event. Yes, they make excellent croquetas. But when they’re also putting their heart and soul into making the event a success, we have a real winner on our hands… and those who attend the event will feel it, too. On top of that, it’s the only SOBEWFF event where 100% of the hosts are South Florida locals.”
