It’s hard to believe that it’s been 10 years since our beloved Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink, the spot that really put the Design District on the map, first opened. But just like that, it’s March 13th, 2017... and here we are.

There’s diamond jewelry and then there’s Sevan Biçaçki diamond jewelry — and the two are not the same. Walk into the new Sevan Biçaçki storefront in the Miami Design District, which is tucked into the second level of Palm Court and marks the brand’s first shop in the U.S., and it’s easy to see why this Turkish gem is Miami’s newest hidden treasure. As if the colorful, Michelangelo-like, hand-carved and hand-painted jewels in opulent glass cases aren’t enough, look up: the hand-painted Ottoman domes above you create the most-talked-about ceiling in the MDD. Basically, it’s like you’ve been transported to opulent Istanbul just by walking inside… and trust us, you won’t want to leave. 

This January in Geneva, the famed Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) watch show opened its doors to the public for the first time in its 27 years of presenting the year’s newest and hottest innovations in fine watch trends.
