Join the Miami Design District, in partnership with Arts Encounters, for a free guided tour of the neighborhood’s world-renowned public art led by art critic, journalist and educator Margery Gordon.
Two tours a month showcasing selections of public artworks; exploring signature favorites and fresh additions along distinctive routes.
Kicking off each month, Saturday afternoon excursions feature monumental Sol LeWitt sculptures that now grace the entrance to the Design District from Biscayne Boulevard, plus a tour of one of the neighborhood’s marquee indoor (air-conditioned) cultural institutions. (June: Locust Projects, July: de la Cruz Collection, August 4: ICA Miami, August 25: Juan Carlos Maldonado Art Collection)
On the third Wednesdays, evening tours include visits to the new Paradise Plaza, framing a “bus stop” installation by Urs Fischer, and multifaceted designs just completed for the Museum Garage.
Meet in front of the Fly's Eye Dome on the first floor of Palm Court.
