Housing Works, a leading AIDS-service and advocacy organization, announced today it will host its highly-anticipated fundraising event, Design on a Dime, in Miami from February 3-4th, 2018, at the Moore Building in the Design District. The two-day, star-studded benefit will bring together the world’s most celebrated interior designers, influential tastemakers and celebrities to raise funds for Housing Works’ national campaign to end the AIDS epidemic.

For the third year in a row, participating designers will create one-of-a-kind room vignettes with new furniture, art and home décor merchandise, which is donated directly from top brands and then sold for up to 80% off retail during Design on a Dime Miami. Proceeds fund Housing Works’ “AIDS-FREE USA 2025” campaign which plans to end the AIDS epidemic nationally by 2025.

Confirmed participating designers of Design on a Dime Miami include: A.Keith Powell, Antrobus + Ramirez, Benjamin Moore, Britto Charette, Brown Davis Interiors, Inc., B+G Design Inc., Contour Interior Design, Deft Union, Errez Design Studio, Fava Design Group, Fein Zalkin Interiors,  Hallock Design Group, Hernan Arriaga, Hinojosa Design, Housing Works, KAKAR House of Design, Krista + Home, Maggie Cruz Interior Design, Mendez Vela Design, Miguel Lewis, Mike Stake Studio, Mitchell Gold & Bob Williams, Nicole Fuller Interiors, RedNoir by M.Arellano, MONIOMI Design, Sogol Décor and ELLE DECOR. The majority of participants will design individual room vignettes, while designers Miguel Lewis, Monica Arellano and Stephannie Benhamu will design a double room together.

Design on a Dime Miami will be hosted by James Huniford, Founding Chair of Design on a Dime, and Co-Chairs Whitney Robinson, Amanda Lindroth and Rudy Weissenberg.

The two-day interior design benefit and sale will include a ticketed “VIP Cocktail Hour & Preview” on Saturday, February 3rd, featuring a private cocktail reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. where guests will get a first look at more than 30 plus designed room vignettes. The preview will be followed by the “Chairman’s Dinner” at 8 p.m. where Ximena Caminos and Rudy Weissenberg will be honored. The evening will continue with the “Opening Night Reception Sale,” open from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., where ticket holders can shop a collection of home décor and art curated by participating designers and also meet the design creators and Co-Chairs. The affair will carry on the next day with a “Designer Sale” open to the public on Sunday, February 4th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For tickets to Opening Night Reception and Chairman’s Dinner on February 3rd, please visit https://doadmia2018.splashthat.com/.

Founded in 2004 by Designer James Huniford, Design on a Dime challenges interior designers to create unique room vignettes curated with donated merchandise from well-known home decor brands and artists. All merchandise in these one-of-a-kind rooms is then sold at charitable prices to thousands of design-savvy attendees.

In 2016, Housing Works grew the event nationally expanding it to Miami, Florida, for the first time. Since its inception, Design on a Dime Benefit has raised more than $11 million.

Sponsors of Design on a Dime Miami include ELLE DECOR, Miami Design District, Benjamin Moore, Modern Luxury Miami, The Points Guy and Russian Standard Vodka. To follow the conversation on social media about the event, please use the hashtag #DOADMIA18.
