The Chronograph

The Chronograph

The chronograph is one of the most recent complications, invented in the 19th century after watchmakers had succeeded in making sufficiently precise mechanisms to measure such short intervals, and had developed a means of stopping and restarting a hand while the movement continues to keep time. Today's watchmakers are still finding ways to innovate and improve on this complication.
