Since Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink first opened in the Miami Design District in spring of 2007, diners have come to embrace and crave its refreshing combination of a laid-back atmosphere and seriously good food, a neighborhood bistro that is the ultimate showcase for the type of cuisine that chef/owner Michael Schwartz does best – homemade, unpretentious, delectable, with an emphasis on great local ingredients. The restaurant is open seven days a week and serves lunch, an afternoon menu, dinner and brunch.
Our main dining room and courtyard seat 100, and The Bar Room, an additional 16, with 24 more seats at a welcoming bar where guests can enjoy our Afternoon Menu including a raw bar from 3pm-5:30pm Monday through Saturday. Small plates shine, created by chef de cuisine Tim Piazza like shrimp toast “banh mi”, sprouted lentil fritters, along with restaurant classics like deviled eggs and thick cut potato chips. The menu offers a variety of small, medium, large and extra large plates, showcasing a variety of sizes and preparations within each section on the weekly-changing menu. Our restaurant is located in the vibrant Design District neighborhood, fashion’s new playground in Miami. Find the restaurant on Facebook and follow on Twitter and Instagram @michaelsgenuine.
A weeknight happy hour menu is available from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at the bar. Check out Michael's Genuine Food & Drink new happy hour menu here.
