With a delicate balance of heart and purpose, the portraiture works by Meme Ferré dovetail perfectly with the remarkable contributions to civility of the Copperbridge Foundation. Together they forge a bond that spans millennia among the pop culture of today and the ancestry of the Caribbean basin. These two influential forces converge to focus the energy of leadership and celebration for Pan-American cultures and the dreams of it’s people from Borinquén to Hispaniola and beyond.  

Meme Ferré is an artist and a retired Arts Educator. Meme also continues the legacy and civic work of her father, Maurice A. Ferré, Mayor of Miami 1973-1985.  Copperbridge is a non-profit established by Geo Darder to foster cultural relations among the artistic communities of the Pan-American nations with a focus on Cuba and the diaspora in Miami.

Swampspace was launched in 2005 by native artist Oliver Sanchez.  Presenting innovative visual arts and performance by varied artists,  Swampspace delivers a unique experience for arts enthusiasts of all stripes. Swampspace  is a distinct alternative venue recognized by the Knight Foundation for its enduring contribution the arts.  A preeminent artist run project space in Miami, Swampspace is known to be both sophistication and unvarnished artistic value.
