The Meeting Bowls are a public art project by the Spanish collective mmmm... They are temporary and playful urban furniture that encourages friendly dialogue between strangers and creates a social place for gathering. These inviting large objects shaped like bowls can accommodate up to eight people each. The project, first shown in the U.S in Times Square (NY) in 2011, and then in Arlington County, Virginia earlier this year, is designed to remind us of the magic of interacting with strangers in public places. The Cultural Center of Spain in Miami (CCEMiami) in collaboration with Miami Design District, Arlington Cultural Affairs and Acción Cultural Española (AC/E); present the Meeting Bowls during Art Basel Miami 2017.
