Visit Balenciaga in The Miami Design District. The building is designed as a site-specific project, with the striking use of functional solar panels as part of a facade, which is unique in the brand’s retail network. The pale blue panels are installed above clear glass windows at street level, with large-scale luminous BALENCIAGA lettering visible from the street.
The interior and furnishings continue the logic of the industrial yet luxurious environment which Demna Gvasalia has created for the Paris flagship stores at Rue Saint-Honoré and Avenue Montaigne. Several elements of a state-of-the-art clothing factory are integrated into the plan, which presents products to customers in a direct and uncomplicated way throughout two spacious floors.
The first floor displays the women’s collection with an exposed ceiling and the second floor, dedicated to menswear, has a pink all-over Balenciaga logo printed carpet.
