Fine timepieces get their due at the launch of Watches & Wonders Miami.

THE OCCASION The launch of Watches & Wonders Miami, an event to celebrate the world’s leading timepiece manufacturers, brought together some 21 blue-chip brands (from A. Lange & Söhne to Vacheron Constantin) for a weekend at which they revealed their latest treasures. THE CROWD Can you say VIP? Among those perusing (and considering buys no doubt) were developer Craig Robins, model Eric Rutherford, Aventura Mall owner Jackie Soffer and Fabienne Lupo, CEO of Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, one of the event’s co-presenters. THE HIGHLIGHTS The weekend kicked off with a lavish party in the Design District’s Palm Court, where tunes by celebrity DJ Brendan Fallis and activations by the various watch boutiques in the area made the night one to remember. - Michael
