It’s every foodie’s favorite time of the year — Miami Spice! Now in its 14th year, Miami Spice runs from August 1 through September 30 across nearly 200 local restaurants across South Florida including 53 new participants. The eateries will offer three-course meals priced at $23 for lunch and $39 for dinner, with some of the best deals being found in the Design District.

Neighborhood staple MC Kitchen is offering both a lunch and dinner menu for Spice goers. The Miami Spice lunch menu is offered Monday through Friday and features dishes like Crispy Buffalo Mozzarella with parma prosciutto and basil, pesto aioli; Rhode Island Calamari Scampi made with calabrian chili, herbs, roasted lemon juice and MC olive oil; Stone Oven Baked Eggplant with ricotta, mozzarella, basil, spicy vine ripened tomato sauce and Mango Mousse Cheesecake filled with passion fruit, coco-nutty gelato and toasted coconut crunch. On its dinner menu available Sunday through Thursday evenings, hungry guests can find plates such as Petite Greens and Red Quinoa Salad with mission figs, toasted pecans, ricotta salata dressed with maple vinaigrette; Branzino Filet with toasted fregola, tuscan kale, baby garden vegetables and Dulce de Leche Cheesecake with graham cracker crust, caramel sauce, chocolate crunch.

Located down the street is The Cypress Room, the swanky restaurant from James Beard award-winning chef Michael Schwartz. From Monday through Friday you’ll find a rotating menu featuring dishes like White Gazpacho with almonds, green grapes and royal red shrimp; Grass-fed Beef Carpaccio topped with wild mushrooms; the famous Cypress Burger topped with Jasper Hill Landaff and onion marmalade and a Chocolate Soufflé with sea salt and crème anglaise.

And don’t forget about The District, which will be offering its Miami Spice menu for dinner every night of the week. For starters, items like Salmon Ceviche and the Beets & Beets made with oven-roasted golden and red beets, watercress, hazelnuts, pickled raspberries, goat cheese mousse are available. As for the main courses, guests have the choice between Afro-Cuban Pork made with slow-roasted marble pork shoulder, braised collard greens, white bean puree, Creole salad; The District Burger topped with Benton's bacon, grilled red onions, heirloom tomatoes, Vermont Brie cheese, chipotle mayo and homemade potato fries; and the vegan-friendly Curry Taco made with crispy quinoa cake, white beans and seasonal vegetables. For dessert its seasonal bread pudding and traditional flan are on the menu. If you’re looking to have a glass of wine with your meal, you can get two glasses of either Pinot Grigio or Cabernet for just $12 more.
