With a humanistic approach to design, Jader Almeida builds on the heritage of Brazilian modernism to create objects that capture a dynamic combination of lightness and strength in their shape. His explorations of form and sensitivity to material and proportions create striking furniture that blurs the boundaries between international styles resulting in a distinct design vision that is decidedly his own. On Thursday, October 24, Luminaire Lab will host an evening discussion with the designer who will guide us through an exploration of his creative process, inspirations, and influences. The dialogue will coincide with the opening reception for his latest exhibition at Luminaire that will feature a wide selection of pieces from his collection for Sollos.
Discussion to begin at 7 pm.
