With each new series of work, Claudia Hidalgo’s narrative continues to develop in a language unveiled by her exploration of color. She uses distinctive hues to elicit a response beyond that which feels familiar—in her photographs, deep reds, rich greens, and sharp blues intervene landscapes in unexpected shapes and spaces, removing any notion of place as fantastic sceneries begin to appear.
