Tod's, a brand that since its inception has been very active in the support of the arts is, with the unveiling of the new store in the Miami Design District, strongly reinforcing those ties: a one of a kind boutique that can double, thanks to a system of movable walls, into a unique exhibition space.
The new Tod’s boutique has a sales floor that measures over 2400 square feet and is dedicated to both the Tod’s women’s and menswear Accessories and RTW collections. The interiors are marked by high quality materials, luxurious details and understated elegance and functionality.
The new store concept, designed by New York architectural firm Bonetti & Kozerski, features polished concrete floors and 15 foot tall walls clad in Tod’s signature tanned “Vacchetta” leather that create the background for a marriage between art and craftsmanship. The latest limited edition Tod’s creations will share the space with rotating selections of artwork curated by Tod’s creative team. The interior walls are movable and able to fold like trunk doors, to transform the space from retail space to gallery. The walls also double as a 60 ft projection screen.
The space is enriched with a grey marble and mirror runway, along with dark wood floating shelves. Modern sofas and selected furniture accented with steel details. Additional pieces crafted from steel and marble create a play of light and reflection to highlight the Tod’s Men’s and Women’s Collections. The warm and refined décor perfectly reflects the tones of Italian tradition.
For the occasion of the opening, limited edition styles could be found on Men’s classic style sneakers and Gommino loafers are sold in the boutique along with Women’s heeled sandals and wedges in addition to special edition Tod’s Double T bags in precious skins.
