New York based designer alexanderwang has officially opened his first retail outpost in Miami, where fans of Wang’s casual yet polished style will be able to visit this location and shop from the full alexanderwang collection.
Wang aficionados might recall there was a pop-up alexanderwang boutique in the Miami Design District in 2022 for about two months. The store was such a hit, that the pop-up led to this new permanent location.
The label reintroduced menswear in July 2023 with a full line of ready-to-wear, suiting, and the Hoop Sneaker. The men’s collection draws inspiration from ‘90s athletic silhouettes and sportswear and presents a mix of rugged styling and soft materials. The suiting category is approached with an effortless panache of boxier and oversized fits, adding an element of casualness to the typically tailored silhouettes. alexanderwang also launched their first Kid’s collection in August 2023, featuring 6 styles ranging from matching button downs and shorts to sweat sets. These collections, along with women's RTW, footwear, accessories, and bodywear, can all be found in the new Design District outpost.
In keeping with other retailers in the neighborhood, design was a major focus area for the alexanderwang team. The Miami storefront was designed by alexanderwang’s in-house design team, and the store concept expands on the brand's well-known design codes and sleek aesthetic, featuring mirror-polished stainless steel surfaces and a perimeter of LED walls that provide a backdrop of curated alexanderwang content.
