On Wednesday September 10th, The District Miami, hosted the Taste For The Arts fundraising dinner to benefit the Copperbridge Foundation as part of Copper Fest.

Fifty guests were invited to experience a one-of-a-kind dining collaboration with The District Miami’s Executive Chef and James Beard Foundation semifinalist Horacio Rivadero and acclaimed ceramicist Carlos Alberto Rodriguez. The $200 per person dinner was served on 50 unique plates created especially for Copperbridge Foundation by ceramicist Carlos Alberto Rodriguez. The art plates were chosen beforehand by participating guests and taken home after the dinner. Optional $100 dinners were also purchased without the art plates. A portion of the tax deductible proceeds went towards the Copperbridge Foundation programs.

With live entertainment by R&B Singer Joanna Gardener, guests were treated to a delicious and extensive menu by chef Horacio Rivadero that included the Cobia Cerviche and Seasonal House Salad for starters, followed by a choice of entrées including the Cast Iron Salmon, Joyce Farms Poulet Rouge, Vegetarian Tacu Tacu, and The Afro Cuban Pork. Accompaniments included Brussel Sprouts and Grilled Yellow Corn which were served family style and to top it all off, Chef Rivadero’s Guava Bread Pudding was served as dessert to the delight of all guests.

Notable attendees included Latin singer Telmary, Swampspace Gallery owner Oliver Sanchez, artist and Copperbridge Foundation board member Meme Ferreģ and daughter Claudia Succar Ferreģ, Curator Luis Canales, International businessman from Gabon Samy Mebiame and jewelry designer Donna Freeman. Guests were treated to products sponsored by Marazul, on-cuba, Yaya Wine, Westover Arms, Frameworks ,The Light Box, Eco Peace, Vedado Social Club and supported by House of Art, Swampspace.
