If only Buckminster Fuller were here to see the hundreds of yogis about to descend on the Fly’s Eye Dome, he’d witness the boundaries between disciplines, genre, and sensory design eroding under the Miami sky.  Every fourth Wednesday of the month, an all-new YogArt series will set the stage for Jivamukti teacher and licensed movement therapist Dawn B. Feinberg, one of South Florida’s most sought after instructors.  Taking place in the Design District’s center for fashion and design, and surrounded by Sou Fujimoto’s waterfall-inspired architecture and Xavier Veilhan’s bust of Le Corbusier, a downward dog at Palm Court will also offer immersive connections with creativity, art and community.

YogArt was founded in 2011 as a celebration of the city’s wellness, art and foodie cultures.  Helmed by local yoga favorite Feinberg; active philanthropist Arlene Chaplin; and the Food Network South Beach and New York City Wine & Food Festivals’ Brian Lee Schrager, YogArt first premiered during Art Basel Miami Beach with the event “Buddhas & Bellinis,” and is now expanding its good vibes with seasonal offerings in the District.

“YogArt is a full-sensory experience,” says Anna Williams, Vice President of Marketing, Dacra. “We are excited to amplify participants’ experience by hosting the series in Palm Court, the heart of the Miami Design District.”

Yogis are invited to the kick-off event on Wednesday, October 28th, which will feature live music by the Brass Fellows Ensemble from New World Symphony, healthy bites from Ella Pop by Chef Michael Schwartz, and rose-colored libations by Whispering Angel.  Rolling out the welcome mat at 6:00 p.m., take a deep Ujjayi breath at 6:30 p.m.  Sessions are $35 and run through July 2016.  For more info on tickets and special packages, visit https://bit.ly/1JPgPkd
