Trendspotting: Women’s Accessories for Spring 2019
Now that it’s March, we can start counting down the days until it’s officially spring! And according to the fashion gods—a.k.a, the runways of New York, Milan and Paris fashion weeks—that means it’s time to shake up our wardrobes. If you want to start small, focus on your accessories. Read below for the top five women’s accessory trends we can expect to see in spring 2019.
In Miami, beach-style accessories are always in; but this year, they’re in everywhere. Take advantage of the worldwide trend by punching up your outfits with anything that reminds you of the coast: like this handmade, straw Cannes Market Bag from Reformation.
Decorated Bobby Pins + Hair Clips
Go bold or go home in spring, and that includes your hair accesories! Find bobby pins and clips with pearls, diamonds, you name it—the more bedazzled the better. This Right Vogue Hair Clip from Versace, which spells out the word “vogue” in colorful enamel and gold lettering, is everything your (spring 2019) hair needs.
Staple Leather Belts
A thin leather belt cinches the waist like a pro; and if NYFW taught us anything, you can expect to see them everywhere this season. Burberry is always a reliable brand when it comes to fashion staples, so snag this double-wrap Reversible Monogram Motif Leather Wrap Belt, with a polished monogram buckle, and cinch in style.
A jumbo bag is always a good idea, mainly because it’s practical. So when we heard oversized satchels were coming back in style, we joined women everywhere… and rejoiced. For a satchel that’s both understated and chic, get this pebbled-leather McGraw Slouchy Satchel from Tory Burch. It comes in two colors, Devon Sand or Black, so look at your wardrobe and pick what works best. (Pro tip: It’s spring! So we say go lighter with Devon Sand.)
Much like our hairpins, our jewelry is making a statement, too. The bigger and more “out there,” the better: like these mixed crystal and metal Stars & Love Star Earrings with Brass Chains from none other than Saint Laurent.
